You absolutely must use social media to promote your affiliate links. It's one of the quickest and simplest ways to market your affiliate products. For starters, whenever you create any content, whether it's a blog post, video, or ebook, be sure to promote that content on all your social channels.

Although it won't bring you results right away, good SEO delivers long-term benefits that are invaluable to your business.

Blogging is one of the basics of product promotion. The great thing is, you can write about your products as freely as you want and include links wherever you want.

Blog posts can take on just about any form, from product reviews to infographics and tutorials. The sky's the limit! The most important thing is to post high-quality content consistently. Do those two things, and you'll be well on your way to earning more through your blog.

#4 Send Monthly Emails or Newsletters

Once you have a list, you can use it to promote your links and special incentives. Also, sending out monthly emails is a great way to keep people engaged with your website and to let them know when you're promoting new products.

#5 Create Helpful Videos

Product demonstrations, tutorials, and product reviews are three popular formats that are highly effective for affiliate marketing. They're also relatively easy to do once you get the hang of it.

#6 Add Banners and Buttons to Your Site

Obviously, it's important that you direct traffic to your site. But once the visitors are there, you want them to do something – read your blog post, view your video, or, most importantly, click on your links. Adding banner advertisements and call-to-action buttons are two of the best ways to get your visitors to take that action.

  1. Thank you for this informative article. I’m brand new to AM , blogging and SEO and it can definitely be mind boggeling , trying to learn everything I need to learn to get my feet off the ground, so to speak. Not to mention, the time it takes to weed thru the many hundreds of blog posts and articles on these subjects(most of which don’t even divulge any of the coveted knowledge us newbies seek, unless we’re willing to purchase the course or ebook they’re selling) (and most of the individuals who are using this form of promotion and enticing advertising for thier products and/or Services , are doing so in what I consider to be deceptive ways. They don’t inform you of the fact that a purchase of some sort is necessary to access the “knowledge” you seek and that they claim to possess, until after you’ve filled out a page or more of necessary personal data and read paragraphs or pages of useless text that you think is an introduction to the grand finale. Only to find the final door , which stands between you and the reason you visited the site to begin with, is locked and the only key to unlock it comes in the form of dollar signs. Your a breath of fresh air and I can’t express enough my feelings of gratitude for you and your article. I will gladly purchase a course or book, etc from you in the future , after having just read an exert from what I imagine to be a great amount of knowledge possessed by you on the subjects of affiliate marketing, SEO, blogging and the like. Again, thank you and I look forward to reading more of your articicles and/or posts.

    1. Thanks for a very helpful post. I love affiliate marketing but it can be very daunting as there’s so much to learn and do to be successful. I’m presently promoting affiliate products for a hair and beauty company, but I’m sometimes uncertain of just how far to go without breaching the rules. I have a website and blog dedicated to the products, and do different social media promotions, but I’m a little bit hesitant because I was affiliated with two companies previously and received notices to remove the pages from Instagram and Facebook because I was in breach. Is there any guidance you can provide about what is acceptable and what is not?

      1. Research the companies you work with and find out the rules before you start promoting their products. There are a lot of shady companies and a lot who have very strict rules. You are your own boss and can pick the companies you work for so be savvy. There are hundreds of companies who have very liberal restrictions on what you can and can’t do. A little research now will save a lot of headaches later.

  2. Really very good post for me. I learn a lot from this. If we want to promote affiliate products using Social media campaign what to do as they did not accept direct links from the websites like clickbank, and amazon did not allow to promote thier affiliate links.

    1. Promoting directly on social is something I’ve never done personally. I feel you’re better making reviews, comparison posts, tables, charts etc and linking to those instead.

Think less about how you can make money and more about how you can help people that might be wanting that product/service you’re hoping to promote.

    2. Set up a lead capture page and send people there first and then promote your product with email. I use traffic wave because of the low cost and unlimited subscribers.

  3. I am doing affiliate marketer from 3 years now… And last month 1 earned (approx) INR 200000 ( 3000 Dollars ) … From creating videos only … But after reading this article, I am feeling excited to learn affiliate marketing social media campaigns… Hope this will build my new source of income ..
